The Scorecards presented below comprise just a small sample of the many I use with business owners of professional firms when supporting them to asses the performance of their business; I hope you find them useful.
Scorecards are a highly effective means by which business owners can do a reality check on their firm’s approach to the topic in question. Taking a gut feel response to each of the questions your scoring will dramatically illuminate those areas where perhaps more needs to be done or indeed where there is a need to address a wholly new area.
When looking at the full array of issues addressed in each scorecard it is not suggested that all firms should give equal prominence to all the matters covered; this said, in most of the scorecards the majority of the issues addressed are likely to have a significant impact on performance and are therefore are worthy of serious consideration. You will note that a weighting is given to each of the questions; when working with individual firms I adapt these weightings according to their circumstances.
