My professional speaking services
My focus
My professional speaking services focus on practical business development issues currently impacting the owners of SMEs and professional practices. I use hard-hitting simple messages, humour and audience participation to transform business owner thinking and approach to service provision and management matters. I speak on pressing matters from a broad base; typically the focus is on: gaining clarity of vision; and supporting listeners to take action to attain desired results.
My talks cover a wide range of territory; I aim address the most testing areas often where there is greatest angst. Presentations currently cover a broad range of areas including: Goal-setting & vision; Strategy, its role in creative competitive differentiation; The 10 P's of marketing; Professional selling; 80-20 focus, profitability & time management; Making ongoing enterprise-wide innovation a reality; Building enthusiastic, committed & success driven teams.
My talks address pressing matters in the 21st century; they draw on multi sector experience and cover many key issues aggravating and frustrating those charged with running businesses.
I have spoken to very large and very small audiences on business development and professional service matters across the UK and in Poland, Lithuania, Latvia and Tanzania.I have spoken in many different forums and feel comfortable in most arenas; I am in my natural element when presenting:
-
at a keynote address at a conference;
-
in hard hitting environments geared to stimulate discussion;
-
as part of in-company presentations geared to addressing specific issues or areas of concern;
-
at practice seminar typically for a firm's clients where new ideas and high standards of professionalism must be to the fore.
When am I available and how do I work?
I am available for speaking engagements across Europe.I am wholly familiar with speaking through interpreters where simultaneous translation is not offered. All my talks are tuned to the specific needs of audiences and their expectations and those of the event organiser. I place particular emphasis on getting to grips with what the audience wants to hear; what are their concerns; what do they want to get out of the talk; and what is the latest state of thinking. This applies whether the talk be for a low key local event or for Professional Associations, Chambers of Commerce, Professional Councils, Institutes or for Conference organisers.
And YES in a crisis, if I am available, I can be pulled in at short notice to present a keynote speech which really hits the mark.
When commissioned to undertake engagements I discuss with my client their needs and expectations, in this way I ensure that the presentation best focuses on your desired outcomes and concerns.
I will also often research the subject with target personnel attending the proposed event at which I will be speaking so as to get their views and interests in respect of the subject matter to be covered. Is this usual: NO; is it different? YES; Is it effective? Hugely so.
